I checked a couple of times. It seems there is no leaking. The 1.6 only has a 5 speed gearbox, which is fine around town but at 80mph the engine is spinning at about 2500rpm hence the mpg. The 2.0TDI has the 6 speed box which has higher top gear, and ends up doing similar mpg because the gearing is well suited to that engine. Location.
