I've rolled back my firmware to 1.61 from 1.70 this has cured every problem I had with the Hero 7 Black, I hear that the only problem with 1.61 that it doesn't perform well in freezing conditons, this is a small price considering the 1.70 update doesn't perform well in any conditions
