Garmin has released new Beta software for Fenix 6, MARQ, Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S smartwatch owners. Beta Version 24.85, an update for the Fenix 6 and MARQ smartwatches, brings two bug fixes to We’ve added an altimeter calibration for watch mode as well (Settings > Sensors > Altimeter > Auto Cal. > Not During Activity). Assuming a user has enabled the use of location data on GCM, we will use the phone position along with the DEM provided in our preloaded cartography data to attempt a calibration each night during a user’s sleep I checked the Fenix 6X HR wrist sensor again today on an easy recovery run and it turned out the wrist HR values are pretty muc h useless now. See the HR sensor data in the chart. The red values are from the built-in wrist sensor of the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro device. The green values are from the Garmin HR belt captured by an old Garmin Fenix 5X Watch Garmin D2 CHARLIE Owner's Manual. (48 pages) Watch Garmin FENIX 5 PLUS Owner's Manual. My watch suddenly stopped getting a GPS signal, the connection bar stays red when I start a new activity. Waiting for a signal and never get a lock. I even left it in an open field for an hour to try to get a position fix, nothing. Firmware: 15.3 (updated to beta, didn't fix) ZYAm. These have nothing to do with my problem. I don't want it to calibrate automatically during the night. Previous Fenix watches didn't do it. I want it to calibrate at start and during activity. Also, altimeter or barometer mode is a completely different topic. Open altimeter (long press light button - select altimeter) - press start button - scroll and select settings. I have a Auto Cal on; Sensor mode is auto. When you calibrate you need to be outside for GPS fix, and I tend to use DEM. Maybe something got into that little hole for the sensor, try cleaning it out with a brush. Forerunner over 5 years ago. I got the auto-calibration "NOT during the activity" set to ON. Additionally i set the calibration method to using DHM. However, when i check the altitude from time to time during the day, it gives me wrong readings that never get corrected. I thought, the watch would recalibrate automatically from time to time in I checked my Fenix 7X official altimeter (after an initial manual calibration to known altitude) against the altitude from Connect IQ app GliderSK (which is open-source, so I could check it does bog standard textbook altitude computations based on the raw baro pressure). And while the GliderSK computed altitude was pretty much always spot-on The jumpmaster feature is for use by experienced skydivers only.
